Riggins Nursery is a wholesale operation established by Bob & Donna Riggins in 1985. The farm of 180 acres was originally bought by Warren Riggins, Sr. in the 1920’s. His son, Warren Jr., and then his son, Bob, continued the farming tradition as they grew asparagus, grain and vegetables. Bob and his wife, Donna, began growing nursery stock in 1985. When their three children (Rob, Jennifer & Roger) joined the nursery, they became the fourth generation to work on the Riggins Farm. Bob and Donna now have eight grandchildren who may one day become the fifth generation to be a part of the Riggins farming tradition. In 2007, Bob and Donna acquired Donna’s family farm, bringing the total acreage of the nursery to 280 acres.
Riggins Nursery currently consists of 16 acres of holding houses where over 500 varieties of plants are grown, including Proven Winner and First Editions. The identifying characteristics of Riggins Nursery have been growing top quality plants and providing excellent customer service. We try to maintain a balance between being large enough to keep our customers’ needs supplied and being small enough to retain a family-run business. All of our manager positions are filled by family members which we feel helps us to maintain our quality and service.
