Weigela

'Pink Princess'

A Weigela is a thick, spreading, rounded shrub with perfect, funnel-like flowers.  The 1 1/2" long flowers are paler on the inside with beautifully bright colors on the outer flower making this a standout plant.  Trimming after flowering may be necessary to maintain the shape of the Weigela.  The 'Pink Princess' is a loose, open plant with numerous lavender-pink flowers and is one of the most hardy of all Weigela. 

Bloom Time:  Beginning May for 1-2 months.

Growth Habit:  Loose, Open, 6' in height, 9' in width.

Foliage:  Green.

Light:  Sun.

Hardiness Zones:  4-9.
