'Mother's Day'

 

When Azaleas bloom, the flowers are so profuse the entire plant is blanketed with color.  The leaves are usually small, narrow and pointed, often with small hairs on the edges.  The 'Mother's Day' Azalea is a dense, shapely plant with numerous 2", semi-double, vivid red flowers with light brown spotting. 

 

Bloom Time:  Mid-Spring.

Growth Habit:  Dense, Shapely, 5' in height.

Foliage:  Green turning red in the winter.

Sun/Shade:  Sun, Partial Shade.

Hardiness Zones:  5-10.
