Azalea

'Herbert'

 

When Azaleas bloom, the flowers are so profuse the entire plant is blanketed with color.  The leaves are usually small, narrow and pointed, often with small hairs on the edges.  The 'Herbert' Azalea is a dense, spreading plant with numerous small violet flowers.

 

Bloom Time:  Early May (mid-season bloom).

Growth Habit:  Dense, Spreading, Less than 6' in height.

Foliage:  Green.

Sun/Shade:  Sun, Partial Shade.

Hardiness Zones:  5-10.
