Azalea

'Girard's Hot Shot'

 

When Azaleas bloom, the flowers are so profuse the entire plant is blanketed with color.  The leaves are usually small, narrow and pointed, often with small hairs on the edges.  The 'Girard Hot Shot' Azalea is a dense, compact plant with green foliage.  The large (3"), double, deep orange-red flowers cover the plant. 

 

Bloom Time:  Mid-Spring.

Growth Habit:  Dense, Compact, 3-5' in height.

Foliage:  Green turning to orange-red in the fall.

Sun/Shade:  Sun, Partial Shade.

Hardiness Zones:  5-10.
